Don’t Overthink It. (Seriously. Stop it.)

Why You Should Stop Overthinking Things, And Actually Start Doing Things.

I have a confession to make.

I overthink things.

Oh, you do too?

I guess we’re not alone on this problem.

Overthinking is a mess.

Trying to think, think, and think about a problem, will usually not get it solved.

You know this.

We all know this.

Yet, the chatter in the skull is addictive.

The chatter never stops. It keeps on talking, analyzing, and debating.

It’s time to put an end to that.

Sometimes, if thinking fails, then we must solve it with its friend.

What friend?

Action.

Action is key.

Action holds the power to solve your thinking problems.

In order to defeat overthinking,

  • First, we must acknowledge that thinking all the time, will not always solve our problem.
  • Second, we must roll a dice, and just make a decision. When in doubt, just look at the Nike tagline. (Just Do It, Seriously.)
  • Third, realize that when you make a decision, it’s not final. You can usually change later. It’s not a big deal. “Don’t overthink it.”

Follow this 3 steps, and overthinking shouldn’t be a problem.

If it still is, just remember this:

“The sharpest minds often ruin their lives by overthinking the next step, while the dull win the race with eyes closed.”

Stop overthinking.

Just make a random decision that feels 'right.’

.. and just do it!

You can change your decision later down the road. ❤️
